Therapy involves stepping outside of your comfort zone (because that’s where we grow). Let's figure out what your goals and values are, then work together to figure out what may be keeping you stuck in unhelpful patterns. I focus on overcoming adversity, identifying strengths, developing personal values, processing thoughts and feelings about life experiences, learning new coping skills to manage intense emotions, working through interpersonal difficulties, and understanding the connections between earlier life experiences and current patterns. I love to help people move towards living the lives that they really want and becoming the person that they really are. Tears and laughter are equally welcome in our therapy space.
I aim to help you to find balance:
I provide clinical supervision to mental health professionals in need of supervision hours for licensure. as well as those who are interested in learning how to implement techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into their practice. I am a Qualified Supervisor for Florida for registered mental health counseling interns. My approach to supervision parallels my approach to therapy, meeting supervisees where they’re currently at and helping them grow in ways that are importantly to them and their clients. Sustainable self-care is an integral part of that process.
As a provider of parent coaching for over 10 years, I can help parents or other caretakers learn the skills needed to effectively manage the behaviors and emotions of children and adolescents. You are the expert on your child or teen. I know how people learn (and unlearn) behaviors. Together we can figure out a plan to bring peace back into your home.
